blueskoebes Love to you and love to Fukue! Beautiful Song!!! I´m an 52 years old Singer/ Guitarplayer from Cologne, Germany. Usually I never cry about movies, but when I was watching your docu on youtube, I found myself in tears... it broke my heart. It was so moving for me... and your song helped it a lot... I am so happy for you both, that you found her! Sorry for my bad english...Love, Patrik

about

The final theme from the Loud Roar Productions/CBC Short Doc film "Finding Fukue" ( youtu.be/ZVlZMOB-Sq0 ), released by RedLeaf Music ( redleafmusic.ca ).

'Fukue's Theme Part I' was inspired by a recurring dream that Fukue had since childhood about herself and Jessica in the rice paddies of Saku City, Japan, and Jessica's search for Fukue several decades later.

lyrics

We play
Around the paddy square
Reach out
Our tiny friends are there

Come here
My dress is safe and warm
We can be your second home
I’ll love your yellow, purple, blue and red and brown
I swear

I’m scared
My heart’s been beaten bare
I’ve stared
At this page for 20 years

Somewhere
You have to be somewhere
Your life deserves to be fair
We’ve both known paths of solitude
But you belong

It’s love
It’s love
It doesn’t matter the colour you are
I will care for you

Don’t you know that it’s love?
It’s love
Give every wish on a star so you know I’ll be there for you
Give every frog in my care just to show that I’ll share with you
Give every tear I can bear just to be anywhere with you

The Jessica Stuart Few Toronto

Called “amazingly charming” by Canadian icon Don Ross, The Jessica Stuart Few is one of Canada’s hottest new sounds in eclectic indie folk. Joni Mitchell-esque lyrics with heavy grooves on Japanese koto (13-stringed harp), guitar, bass & drums, the mix is unconventional yet somehow obvious, reminiscent of Joanna Newsom with the indie-jazz sensibility of Stereolab. ... more
